TRICO HATCH has begun in Southern Vermont

Love them or hate them...the Trico hatch in southern Vermont has begun! Most days with beginners and intermediates i avoid them but they are present. I'm seeing spinner falls on the Walloomsac, Battenkill and Mettawee. Mostly in flat water pools below a riffle. Fog, wind and rain kill it but..."What is rain?" Long leaders, 6 and 7X tippets and the ability to hit a target are all required. But remember, most days I avoid them like a person with the flu:) but if you are up for the ultimate chanenge in dryfly fishing...Tricos are the game to play! Here's a peek into my trico box
Thanks for the view and please stay tuned!

PINK IS BACK!

One week a year, "Pink" comes to Vermont from Florida to the visit. We always have fun and usually catch a bunch of Trout!
Thanks for the view! My guided trips are a morning deal for half days only...the Black River and East Creek are done for the summer but there are still plenty of good targets...please stay tuned or visit Vermont Fishing trips on facebook.
